The Making of Aurora, The Literary Journal

Each editor began by taking all submissions and throughly reading and analyzing the element of the text or art to hand select ones to represent EKU. Each submission selected told an incredible story, showing off the creative talents of the students here. After selecting those for publication, each editor then used our style guide (created by Sarah Reetz) to make a more cohesive version of the texts. This included font size, alignment, color, and many other often unspoken technicalities of writing. Finally, each story was given one more intensive reading to make sure it was perfect for publication.
